Static Var Generator

Static Var Generator (SVG) is an electrical device used in power systems for controlling reactive power and system voltage. It is used for rapidly injecting or absorbing reactive power in order to maintain system voltage within desired limits. This device is often used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, such as power factor correction, harmonic filtering, and voltage regulation. This enables the system to maintain a steady voltage level and avoid power system overloads. SVG is a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for improving power system reliability and performance. It can be used in both new and existing power systems. In addition to its primary purpose, SVG can also be used to reduce system losses, improve power factor, and reduce total harmonic distortion.
